Start a charging session

If you want to charge your car, you can either start a session via the App or an RFID card

Finding a charger 

App

There are 3 ways to find and identify a charger when using the App.

1. Map: The map will display all the chargers that are located near your current position. By selecting a charger on the screen, you will be able to view its name, power, price, and availability for confirmation.
2. Charger ID/Name: Many chargers are labeled with a charger name, such as Company_Charger_001. To select a specific charger on the Map screen of the App, simply type the Charger Name/ID into the search bar and the charger will be highlighted for you.
3. Charger QR code: Many chargers are equipped with a QR code for easy identification. To identify a charger, open the VEV App and navigate to the map screen or the drop-down menu. From there, select the QR code scanner and simply scan the QR code located next to the Charging Port. This will automatically identify the charger for you.

RFID

You can also start a charging session via an RFID. These will have been issued by your company

1. Find your charger: Locate a charger that is available at your current location.

Starting a charge

1. Check the charger: Before starting a charging session, it is important to check the status of the charger and ensure that it has power. You can look for charger lights that are working or check if the screen display is visible. This will guarantee that the charger is ready for use.

2. Connect your car: Connect the charging cord to your vehicle and then plug it into the charger (if it is not already attached).

3. Start charging:

   1. App: Select start from within the app

   2. RFID: Swipe your RFID on the charger reading symbol to start the session

4. Check the session: The charger will let you know when the charging session has started. You can also check this information in the app, which is often displayed through a light on the charger or on the screen.
5. Monitor your session: With the app, you have the ability to easily monitor your charging session. You can view the duration, price, and additional details of your session, and even remotely pause or stop the charging session if needed.
6. Stop charging: You will receive both an email and a notification in the app to let you know that your charging session has been completed.
   1. App: Select stop from within the app
   2. RFID: Swipe again to stop the session.
7.  Disconnect your car: To disconnect the charging cord, first remove it from your vehicle and then from the charger (if it's not attached). Don't forget to close the protective cover on your vehicle afterwards.
