Quick Guide to Setting Up a Company, Site, and Site Area

1. Set Up a Company

You can manage different companies within your portal or set up one company and create different sites and site areas under it
  • Go to 'Organisations' from the menu
  • Click 'Create'
  • Enter the company’s name, address, and longitude/latitude
  • Click 'Save'

2. Set Up a Site

A site represents a location like a depot, store, or office where your charging stations are located. VEV-IQ allows you to see all your assets across multiple sites as well as allowing users different permission levels
  • Go to 'Organisations' from the menu
  • Select the 'Sites' tab
  • Click 'Create'
  • Fill in the site’s name, address, and longitude/latitude
  • Choose whether to automatically assign users to this site, enabling them to view all charging stations
  • If you want the site to be available for roaming, mark it as public
  • Click 'Save'

3. Set Up a Site Area

A site area is like a 'delivery point' within a site, allowing control over different circuits or fuse limits to optimize charging capacity.
  • Go to 'Organisations' from the menu
  • Select the 'Site Areas' tab
  • Click 'Create'
  • Enter the site area’s name, address, and longitude/latitude
  • Switch to the 'Limits' tab
  • Configure the maximum power and enable smart charging
  • Click 'Save'
