7.3 Set Charging Prices

Find out how to set prices for charging to monetise your assets

 

Through VEV-IQ, you can open up your chargers to be semi-public, charge employees or contractors for a fee of your choice

VEV-IQ is designed for maximum pricing flexibility, so you can set up charging tariffs at the following levels:
 

Global: Set specific pricing for all companies, sites and chargers on your VEV-IQ (recommended setting)

Setting up a Global charging tariff

  1. Select 'Integration Settings' from the left hand menu
  2. Select 'Pricing' tab along the top
  3. Configure the pricing (see below)

Site: Set specific pricing for an entire site

Set a site charging tariff

  1. Select 'Organisations' from the left hand menu
  2. Select 'Site' tab along the top
  3. Select the square icon next to the site you with to edit
  4. Configure the pricing (see below)

Charging station: Set specific pricing for specific chargers (EG. Your fastest chargers or those available to the public)

Set a charging station tariff

  1. Select 'Charging Stations' from the left hand menu
  2. Select the square icon next to the charging station you wish to edit
  3. Configure the pricing (see below)

If you want to open up your chargers to be semi-public, or charge employees or contractors to charge at your chargers, you can whilst still allowing free-vend under certain parameters.

As a security measure, the flat fee is ignored when no energy has been delivered to avoid charging for sessions when an EV driver has failed to start a session correctly and makes several attempts

 

Restrictions are often used in conjunction with other pricing tariffs, for example you can set one price for charging sessions between 30 minutes and 60 minutes, and another price for charging sessions longer than 60 minutes.

Assigning Users for Free Vend

By default, pricing will apply to all users unless set as a free user.
